Metaphysics means beyond or behind the physical. The spiritual nature of things, as it were. Too often, as in business, when a company is doing poorly they start cutting out the expenditures in their advertising budget, when in fact that may be the way to increase business; and in life, because of time constraints and the stress of self discipline, the first thing people cut out of their life, is the spiritual side to things. They say that when they clear up "all of the things standing in their way" they will have the time and inclination to dabble with some "mind" stuff.
....But that time and opportunity rarely comes about unless you take a stand and make it the most important thing in your life. Personally I would say that too many people get into spiritual things and do the same thing there that they do everywhere else. Escape. Yes, people escape through spiritual and psychological pursuits. What could be more clever? You can forever believe that you are doing spiritual things without actually accomplishing anything spiritual. But then that depends upon your definition. Actually Q.M.I. defines the actual occurrence of something spiritual taking place as related proportionately to the amount of change which is occurring. It must also be understood that it is often the last rock in a crumbling dam which becomes dislodged that is pivotal in the onslaught of the breakthrough. So measuring growth can also be very difficult. However, we are not speaking about change in the sense of becoming "different". This is change in the sense of becoming "more refined" ; similar to the process of a chunk of carbon turning into a diamond. This is similar to Q.M.I.'s belief that we need not expand our consciousness, in the intellectual sense of filling our heads with more ideas, but rather the need to change our consciousness. This is often referred to as Metanoia: the changing or renewing of the mind.
 
  The Quantum Metaphysics aspect is the going beyond the ordinary metaphysical approach of merely understanding what is behind the "appearances" but truly coming to an understanding of that which is "here and now" as in the Hermian proclamation of "As Above, So Below." This is the understanding that there are not two realms of reality nor even a dream and a non-dream but rather a principle to be understood unlocking one's Consciousness and revealing what is, was and always will be Reality. This understanding conforms to the new science of Quantum Physics which has been coined here by Derek Lamar as Quantum Metaphysics to get across the idea of knowing that truly Science and Spirituality once and for all are coming together and are manifesting a New Age of Reason whereby the student can truly make a leap of Consciousness and enjoy his or her own season of Godhood.
....The reason a qualified understanding of metaphysics is necessary is because the physical realm is actually metaphysical as well. Derek Lamar teaches that earth is the edited version of heaven. Through spiritual work we can refile information allowing the light to be seen rather than filtered out. Even though learning is also an accumulation of knowledge, it is more of an unlearning process. In this manner we let go of the erroneous beliefs that outpicture a world we blame for all of our problems because, in fact, it is only mirroring our current state of consciousness.
